Middle East to enjoy Ka band services from Hughes Europe and Bentley Walker

The Middle East will get more ka band communication services courtesy of Bentley Walker’s new agreement with Hughes Europe. The development will be making use of the Avanti Hylas 2 satellite for increased capacity in the target region.

Bentley has a long-established relationship with Hughes Europe and the new agreement sees the former purchasing additional Gateway NOC’s from the European operating and sales organisation for Hughes Network Systems. The Gateway NOC’s will allow Bentley to strengthen and augment its present Ka band services in the Middle East through the use of the HX Systems, which allows resellers to setup Virtual Network Operators or VNO’s locally.

The new deal between the two companies sees additional satellite broadband services targeted to the military sector requiring secure communications. It will also allow resellers to optimized the advantages of the new Ka band services.
